  • Completed application

  • Three letters of  recommendation

  • Personal statement explaining your interest in Montessori education

  • Official transcripts from your most recent educational institution

  • $50.00 non-refundable application fee

Once all application materials are received, an interview will be scheduled.  A successful interview will lead to a student contract.  The student will be fully accepted into the program upon receipt of the signed contract and a $500.00 non-refundable tuition deposit.  Applications must be postmarked by May 1.  Applications received after this date will be charged a $200.00 late processing fee.

The candidate for the Early Childhood Credential must hold, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  At the discretion of the Director, students who do not have a degree may be admitted to VCMS.  These students are awarded the Associate Early Childhood Credential. Upon completion of the bachelor’s degree requirement, these teachers become eligible for the Early Childhood Credential.  In some states and at some schools, the Associate Credential may not be sufficient for employment as a classroom teacher.

VCMS admits students of any race, religion, national or ethnic origin. VCMS does not discriminate on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin or any other protected class in employment or administration of its educational policies.
