Course Description:  The Practical Living explores the content and value of this curriculum in the Montessori environment.  The course is designed to provide opportunities to experiment with design of activities and practice with fundamental lessons.  The Practical Living curriculum provides activities so that the child may acquire the ability to care for himself and his environment.  They train the child to become involved in purposeful activity which requires concentration and exactness.  The Practical Living curriculum will aid the student teacher in developing a classroom environment rich in opportunities and provides the skill to present these activities to the child with care and exactness.  The student teacher will understand the intent of these lessons so that she may design activities appropriate to a particular environment.
